NPower DE Helps Boys & Girls
NPowerDE helps The Boys and Girls Club of Delaware think strategically and comprehensively about its technology.
Challenge
Across 44 sites, The Boys and Girls Club of Delaware serves 35,000 youth per year (1 out of every 5 school-aged children in the state). Over the years The Boys and Girls Club of Delaware's technology infrastructure had grown increasingly large and complex. They faced an aging technology infrastructure that included multiple servers and required significant spending for technology maintenance.
Solution
Working with the Boys and Girls Club of Delaware, NPowerDE led a strategic technology planning process with the goal of reducing technology costs and complexity. The resulting plan re-architected their infrastructure and projected a monthly saving of 50% on the maintenance of their systems.
NPowerDE configured and deployed the latest server virtualization technology and co-located the organization's servers in a state of the art hosting facility to acheive economies of scale and efficiency.
Impact
This new architecture allowed the Boys and Girls Club to reduce their support costs by $50,000 annually. Those general operating funds can now be used for more important things, like reaching more children with their life-changing programs.
Their President and CEO, George Krupanski states: "NPower has been of significant help. They addressed our problems, found solutions and saved us money. Their knowledgeable staff got a handle on our needs quickly, developed a plan and helped us to implement it. Our work process functions better than ever thanks to NPower."
