Peter Whatnell

Mr. Whatnell has served on NPower PA’s CIO Advisory Council for three years and has served as NPower PA’s Event Committee Chair for the past two years. In that role Mr. Whatnell was instrumental in the success of NPower PA’s Nonprofit Technology Awards Luncheon. Last year’s luncheon was attended by 425 executives in the region, drawn together in support NPower PA and the over 325 nonprofit organizations it serves.

Mr. Whatnell joined Sunoco, as CIO, in November 2001, to develop and lead the company’s IT renewal strategy. Prior to that he spent 17 years with Texaco including Head of IT Europe in London, moving to the USA in 1995, serving in several Corporate Director positions covering IS, Telecommunications, Advanced Technology Services, ERP, the IT member on Texaco’s global technology policy and strategy team, and General Manager IT in the shared services company for Texaco, Shell and Saudi Refining Inc.
